DESTINYLAND - A DIGITAL ODYSSEY

by Sarantos Georgios

Premiere on September 10th, 2021

A cooperation by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Athens, the Achilleion Museum on Corfu Island, the Municipality of Corfu and the Diapontian Islands and the Municipal Theatre of Corfu / Greece.

In the most original sense, a museum is home to muses and thereby a place of inspiration: In a time fraught with challenges,  The Achilleion Museum on the Greek Island of Corfu reinvents itself opening its doors to a small ensemble of international artists – finally breathing life into an artistic vision during the pandemic.

Created in 1889 as a refuge for the Austrian Empress Elisabeth (widely known as Sisi), The Achilleion now fully lives up to such a notion hosting Eteria Filon.

The ensemble embarks on an original research trajectory from the microcosm of The Achilleion during a three-months digital residency. This journey is documented and released in an open work–in–progress flow and then shared with the public through six online broadcasts –

The Achilleion Museum goes on air.
